EDeAN

EDeAN stands for "European Design for all and e-Accessibility Network".
The EDeAN network aims at raising the profile of Design for All and emphasizing its importance in achieving greater e-Accessibility. It is open to all interested parties, such as end user communities, academic institutions and research and development organizations specialising in the fields of Design for All and Universal Access.
There are already more than 160 organizations represented in the network and National Contact Centers (NCCs) have been selected in 22 countries throughout Europe. These organisations are already actively working with Design for All, e-Accessibility and Assistive Technology issues. EDeAN National Contact Centers form the primary nodes of this European network. Each NCC is also responsible for establishing national Design for all e-Accessibility networks in their own countries.
The Italian Coordination Centre of EDeAN is represented by the e-Inclusion Laboratory, part of the Institute for Applied Physics "Nello Carrara" of the Italian National Research Council. New members are still very welcome to join.

EDeAN Secretariat duties rotate annually. In 2007 the Secretariat is run by the e-Inclusion Laboratory, part of the Institute of Applied Physics (IFAC) in Italy.
